You’re sitting in the seat of your vehicle. You put the key in the ignition, and you go to turn the engine on. When your vehicle doesn’t start, you have a few options: get a jump start, call for help or take public transportation. A car’s battery can drain from something as simple as leaving interior lights on. But, the Duracell 600 Watt Powerpack will have you driving in just a matter of minutes.
This portable power pack can fit easily in your trunk, or in your garage.
Small and compact, 600W of power ensures that you’ll be able to start your vehicle with ease the next time your battery dies. And, this isn't all that this power pack offers. You can also use this model as a power converter, or air compressor.
It will even allow you to charge up your cell phone, battery, tablet or laptop with ease. Before we go into our in-depth review, I want you to know a few of the most important features that the 600 has to offer.

Duracell 600 Watt Powerpack Review
Being such a unique product, I’m going to break down my review into four different sections:
Dual AC Wall Outlet
The dual AC wall outlets allow you to plug appliances or electronics into this device. For example, if you brought this model with you camping, you could plug in a portable coffee maker and enjoy freshly brewed coffee anytime you want.
If you're charging a laptop, you’ll be able to recharge up to four times when plugging it into the AC outlet on a single charge.
This is great if you lose power, or if you’re on the road and need a power source at your disposal. For camping, this is a priceless item to have.
Keep in mind that while this is a 600W unit, you will be able to use it for powering a sump pump or to power your home if your electric is out. It’s powerful, but is not meant to substitute your home's power for long.
Dual USB Ports
Talk about convenient. Duracell has included two USB ports, so you could charge all of your mobile devices with ease. We actually have some technical specs on how many charges you’ll get with these popular items:
You’ll be able to charge your phone up to 32 times before having to recharge the powerpack.
Want to charge a tablet? You’ll be able to recharge it up to 12 times.
If you have an iPod or similar device, you’ll be able to charge it up to 90 times on one battery pack charge.
And, any devices that allow you to charge using USB, can be attached to these ports.
Emergency Jump Starter
Every car owner has been stranded at least once with a battery that has died. Whether you left the lights on or your battery lost its charge prematurely, a jumpstart is necessary to get you back on the road.
With 600 W of power, you’ll be able to jumpstart an eight cylinder engine in minutes.
While I did test this on a Mustang, I can’t vouch for its capability of jump starting a larger truck. But, for any engine on a normal car or smaller SUV, this jump starter will do the trick. And, you won’t have to call a tow truck company to come out and give you a jump.
All you need to do is attach the battery cables to your battery, turn on the pack, and go inside the vehicle to start it up. The jumper cables will take care of all of the work.
Duracell 600 watt powerpack. What to charge
Another great feature for vehicle owners, this portable power pack will be able to act as a tire pump. With a 150 psi, you’ll never have to worry about a roadside emergency again. You’ll be able to inflate the tires on your motorcycle or even your automobile.
And, if you have recreational vehicles, such as a bicycle, you’ll also be able to inflate those tires.
Several Added Features
When you go to charge the power pack, don’t worry about leaving it plugged into the wall. Duracell has ensured that the pack will go into maintenance mode when it is fully charged. So, you won’t have to worry about degrading the battery.
If you’re stuck on the side of the road, you can turn on the emergency light with the flick of a switch, or turn on the LED light if you need to see in low light conditions. The LED light is adjustable, so you can make it as bright or dim as you like.
And, there are safety reflectors that ensure other motorist will be able to see you if you have to use this pack on the side of the road.
The absolute peak power for the AC outlet power ports is 750 W. Many people that are on CPAP machines have used this model as a backup for when the power goes out. This is how reliable this power source can be.
Right on the unit itself, you’ll notice that there is a battery charge level, so you never have to worry about going to use your pack and being without power again. Simply pay attention to the light, and it will alert you on when it needs to be charged.
Recharge time is lengthy, and can take 19 hours or more depending on how depleted the battery is.
Before we wrap up, I wanted to note that this power pack was able to power a 400W heater for 25 minutes. A 38W light bulb was able to be ran for over 5 hours using this pack. It’s an exceptional product and, according to personal tests, this model exceeds the runtimes listed within the manual for different appliances.
